At Community Pediatrics of Milford, we specialize in the care of children from birth to the age of eighteen. The mission of our entire staff is to know your child personally and to build a strong relationship with your whole family. The care that we give in this office includes well-child care, preventive medicine and the treatment of acute illnesses. Well-child care encompasses regular physical exams, immunizations and monitors your child’s growth and development.

During routine office visits, you are free to discuss your concerns about nutrition, behavior, safety, school performance or other issues. Ideally, well-child care begins with a visit to our office during your pregnancy; however, we welcome first-time visits from children and adolescents of all ages.

Adolescent Care

Adolescence can sometimes be a time filled with unique health concerns and challenges. Teenagers who come to Community Pediatrics of Milford will feel comfortable knowing that our staff care about them and understand their special concerns. Robin Brooke, MSN, C-FNP has received specialized training in adolescent medicine. She offers a comprehensive and confidential program of adolescent health care in a “teen-friendly” setting.

Meet the Practice

Choosing a pediatrician for your new baby is an important decision and should be made before your child’s birth. To help you with this choice, we conduct a monthly “Meet the Practice” session. Usually held on the first Tuesday of the month, soon-to-be parents can come to informally meet one of our practitioners and our office staff and ask questions. Call us to find out about our next “Meet the Practice.”

Urgent Care, After Hours & Emergencies

We are, however, available after hours for emergency calls and can be reached by calling 508-634-7333. We are also able to refer you to KidCare PM, an after-hours clinic located at Milford Regional Medical Center and staffed by board-certified pediatricians. Prescription Refills

To renew your child’s prescription, call our office during regular office hours. Sometimes a prescription refill request appears simple, but may require an examination or new instructions. In these cases, we may request that a doctor see your child before we renew the prescription. (If you need to renew your child’s prescription for Ritalin or Adderal, please call at least seventy-two hours in advance.)

Referrals to Specialists

When your child needs to see a specialist and your insurance requires a referral from your pediatrician, please call our office at least 48 hours before the appointment with the specialist. This will allow us sufficient time to process the referral.

Insurance

We are providers for most medical insurance plans. Because there are a wide variety of insurance options, please contact your insurance company directly to make sure our doctor accepts your plan.

If you are insured, please remember to bring your insurance card with you when you come to our office. Your insurance co-payment is due at the time of your visit. We accept cash, checks, MasterCard and Visa.
